Warehouse Help - Furniture & Appliance Store

Volunteers assist in the warehouse at Crisis Assistance Ministry’s Furniture and Appliance Store, located at 500-A Spratt Street:  unloading donated furniture and appliances from donor vehicles, inspecting donations, updating inventory, assisting in receiving and staging furniture and appliances, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. 
Volunteers work in a warehouse environment performing tasks that include standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and reaching. This opportunity requires the ability to lift 75lbs without equipment and 150lbs of appliances or furniture with equipment. 
The Furniture and Appliance Store helps families experiencing financial hardship live with dignity by providing furniture, beds, and appliances free-of-charge. Volunteers play a critical role in making this happen.
