Opportunity Details
Furniture Build
Teams of volunteers purchase and assemble dressers and/or kitchen tables for families served at Crisis Assistance Ministry’s Furniture & Appliance Store, located at 500-A Spratt Street.
Dressers and kitchen tables are two of the top furniture needs for families overcoming homelessness or another financial crisis.
Volunteers work in a warehouse environment performing tasks that include standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Tasks require the use of manual and small power tools.
The Furniture and Appliance Store helps families experiencing financial hardship live with dignity by providing furniture, beds, and appliances free of charge. Volunteers play a critical role in making this happen.
